Residential Properties

Rugged coastline, pounding surf,
and miles of sandy beaches are perhaps the most popular impressions visitors have of southern Nova Scotia. But for many of us, residents and visitors alike, it is the history and architectural diversity of the region that sparks our interest.

The small villages and quaint towns of Nova Scotia’s South Shore boast older and newer homes, some Victorian houses with elaborate gingerbread fixtures as well as newer, beautifully appointed and efficiently constructed homes for those who want a more modern building design.

Many of us have purchased an old home, barn or cottage, have restored and renovated these. For those of you who want newer custom homes, these are sometimes available for sale.  But if you’d rather build your own home, you can opt to build by purchasing land first, finding a designer/architect and then a builder to create the house that you want.  We can help by putting you in contact with designers, surveyors, builders, lawyers, accountants, etc.

Oceanfront/view properties in this region of the province are a precious commodity. Duckworth Real Estate specializes in oceanfront/view properties. John’s experience is based on years of real estate brokerage, development and vacation rentals. He has close community ties, and has an innate ability to help buyers find the ideal property in an extremely competitive marketplace.

Visitors to our website are encouraged to join our mailing list and visitors’ database so that we can continue to inform you, by e-mail, of updates and additions to our constantly changing property listings.

If you are interested in learning about other properties not among our listings, we would be more than happy to represent you as your buyers’ broker. In that capacity, we scour the marketplace for properties that meet your criteria, whether they are listed or not, and if they are listed, no matter which brokerage has them listed. In the event of a sale, we are paid by the listing brokerage - not by our buyer client. Our services of sourcing, vetting and checking out properties for our clients do not cost our clients anything.

We are always available for your questions or queries. We pride ourselves on responding quickly to all requests.

Duckworth Real Estate is pleased to list the following residential offerings.

We look forward to hearing from you!
